JOHNNY REID’S DANCE WITH ME GOES GOLD

(TORONTO – March 18, 2009) Johnny Reid’s Dance With Me goes Gold, just over 48 hours after release. Reid tops the Canadian Country sales charts, holding three of the five top-selling albums this week, with Dance With Me at #1, Kicking Stones at #3, and his debut, Born To Roll, at #5, according to Nielsen Canadian SoundScan. Dance With Me also captured the #3 chart position on the Top 200 Nielsen Canadian SoundScan.

Dance With Me is Reid’s third release certified Gold in Canada and follows-up his Platinum selling album, Kicking Stones. Reid’s current single “A Woman Like You” is top-5 on Canadian Country radio and is the #1 CANCON Country single.   

Johnny Reid’s sophomore effort, Kicking Stones, won the Scottish-born Canadian singer/songwriter Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs) for Top-Selling Canadian Recording and Top Male Artist in 2008. He had two top-10 Canadian Country radio singles and a top-5 Canadian Country radio single with the runaway hit, “Darlin’”, from his release, Kicking Stones.
